Ingredients

Halibut:

  • 1 pound Halibut fillet

Topping:

  • 1 ½ tablespoons butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • ⅓ cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 3 tablespoons Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh Thyme, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon Onion Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Pat halibut fillet(s) dry with a paper towel. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet and brush with the melted butter. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  3. Combine the topping ingredients.
  4. Combine the panko breadcrumbs, parmesan, thyme, onion powder, and garlic powder in a mixing bowl. Stir until combined.

  5. Top the halibut.
  6. Sprinkle the panko mixture over the halibut. Press it down to make sure it sticks to the fish.

  7. Bake the halibut.
  8. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the fish flakes apart and reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees F on an instant-read thermometer.

Notes

  • Storage – leftover fish can be saved for up to 3 days in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
  • Reheat – in the oven to keep the panko topping crispy!
