Ingredients

1 cup fresh mozzarella balls (about 8 oz)

½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a bowl, toss mozzarella balls with half the Parmesan and Italian seasoning.

  3. In a second bowl, whisk eggs until frothy. In a third dish, mix breadcrumbs with remaining Parmesan.

  4. Dip each mozzarella ball into the egg, then roll in breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.

  5. Place on prepared baking sheet and bake 15–20 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.

  6. Let cool slightly before serving with marinara sauce.

Notes

  • Chill coated mozzarella balls before baking to help prevent cheese from leaking.
  • For extra crunch, use panko breadcrumbs instead of regular.
  • Air-fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Try with other cheeses like provolone or gouda for variety.
  • Best served fresh but can be frozen before baking for later.
