These Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan French Fries are golden, crispy, and loaded with flavor. Made with Yukon Gold potatoes, they’re a healthier alternative to deep-fried fries—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and finished with a savory garlic-Parmesan coating. Perfect as a side dish, snack, or party appetizer.

Ingredients

4 large Yukon Gold potatoes

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon kosher salt

¼ cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated

½ teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon parsley (dried or fresh, finely chopped)

Instructions

  1. Prepare potatoes – Scrub and rinse potatoes. Cut into ¼-inch strips.
  2. Soak – Place strips in a bowl of ice water for 30 minutes to remove starch.
  3. Dry & season – Drain, pat dry, and toss with olive oil and salt.
  4. Air fry – Arrange in a single layer in an air fryer basket (work in batches). Cook at 380°F (193°C) for 18–20 minutes, flipping halfway.
  5. Make seasoning – Mix Parmesan, garlic powder, and parsley in a bowl.
  6. Finish – Toss hot fries with seasoning. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, soak potatoes up to 1 hour.
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket—cook in batches.
  • Fresh garlic can be used but sauté it in butter first to prevent burning.
  • Russet potatoes also work well if you prefer.
  • Best served hot and fresh for maximum crispiness.
